About Me

I'm a tour guide who has been in the industry for more than 17 years. Over the past, I have delivered a wide range of tours: outdoor tours to backpackers, immersion tours for corporates, incentive tours, etc. Besides, I am particularly good at finding hidden gems, no matter it's a beautiful secret place like a natural classical garden or bars that with great view, tasty drinks but few people, or a Feng Shui master who sits beside the street but has been "proven" to deliver accurate truth of the future. Moreover, I'm into L.E.Hudec, and for each of the building he designed and lived in Shanghai, I'm capable of revealing the behind-the-scenes story. Last but not least, you can happily communicate with me about Jewish history and art history if you wish.

My Experiences

For me, I think tour guide as an occupation means more than taking people around to the touristy places, and explaining history behind. I reckon that a tour guide should be the connection between the traveller and the city they are visiting. We can shape their understanding through what they truly experience during the journey.

Architecture and history are my tools to connect with my visitors. I am particularly into L.E.Hudec and for each of the building he designed and lived in Shanghai, I can tell the behind-the-scene story that I promise nobody else can excel me. I'm also adept at Jewish history and art history. Join my tour if you have similar interests.

Language Competency Levels

These descriptions should reflect the level of competency of the working language of a guide.

-You understand simple phrases and can communicate only basic ideas. These basic ideas include: Greetings, yes, no, simple directions, telling the time. You can express yourself but only to a certain point. You are able to readand write with limited comprehension, and repeat yourself more than once.

-You are able to better express yourself and give clearer explanations and directions. You can read and understand most information and are able to read it back to the Traveler in a way that he or she can understand. You may have to repeat yourself more than once.

- You can write, read, and speak with very few errors. Communication is clear and you have excellent control over the language. You can translate fromyour language to the other quickly and you very rarely repeat yourself. You can express yourself and can talk about more abstract things; science, politics, philoophy, history, without any problems.

- You have native* control of the language. You articulate clearly and effectively, and you do not have to translate between your language and the other. You make few, if any, grammatical mistakes. Linguistic expression comes naturally and you have no problems working in that language.

* Native control means you speak as if you were a native speaker of that language; you have grown up with, been educated in, and spoken that language your entire life
