About Me

I’m from Suzhou, the so called “City of Heaven” along with the gorgeous Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province. I describe myself as someone who has one foot in the East and the other in the West. I have been obsessed with Confucius, Zen Buddhism, and Feng Shui for as long as I can remember. I have read ton of books on these topics and have regularly practiced relevant rituals and meditations for years. From the age of 15, I went to an international school in Suzhou, where I learned about the world from teachers who came from all over the world, including the UK, Malaysia, Kenya, the US, and New Zealand. This international education broadened my mind and inspire me to explore the world outside China further.

When I was 18, I embarked on my US journey and entered UC Berkeley for college. Four years in California and traveling across North America has really opened me up to Western culture and made me appreciate the philosophies of both the East and West. As someone who is fascinated with leisure, travel and entertainment as tools for cross-cultural communication, I hope that I can be a cultural bridge and open the minds of travelers from over the world to the great land of China. This is what led me to become a tour guide. I hope that through my tour services, my guests can really enjoy their time in China and come back to visit again in the future.

My Experiences

Born and raised in Suzhou, a city that has 2500 years of history and is often dubbed the "Venice of the East,” I'm deeply connected to the city. I am passionate about showing different visitors around the city, telling stories of city's canals, stone bridges, pagodas, and most importantly its meticulously-designed gardens, from Humble Administrator's Garden to Lingering Garden, to Master of the Nets Garden and the Lion Forest. Beyond my knowledge of ancient Suzhou, I can also tell you a lot about the contemporary history and daily life of the people of Suzhou, something that most guides overlook since they are not local. Join me and I'll show you the legacy of the four great talents in Suzhou and tour you around Suzhou Museum, Suzhou True Colors museum, etc.
