What to Expect

Eating while walking… walking while eating… either way, it sounds like an ideal way to spend an evening in Beijing! In this food tour, We’ll jump into the hustle and bustle of the local markets, venture to hidden spots with tasty treats deep in the Hutongs, and even learn some basic Chinese words and phrases to help you get around. I’ll tell you stories behind Chinese classics like spring onion flat-cakes, Sichuan noodles, donkey meat buns, and northern-style hotpot. There’s an endless supply of local specialties to sample as you eat your way around the one of the biggest produce markets in the center of Beijing. The spots we visit on each tour will vary depending on your tastes and preferences, but no matter how adventurous our adventure into the smells and flavors of China we go, I guarantee that everything we eat together will be safe (and relatively healthy too!).
