What to Expect

Shanghai is the ultimate biking city, and anyone who spends more than 5 minutes here can see why. The bike sharing revolution hit Shanghai about a year ago causing bikes to line the streets of this city as far as the eye can see. However, biking was a huge part of Shanghai culture long before that. Since it is the best way around, I also think it’s the best way of touring the city! We’ll stop at many of Shanghai’s most popular destinations as we bike around, but the best part of the experience is enjoying the sights and sounds of the city as we go. If you have 1 full day to experience as much of Shanghai as possible, then I highly recommend this tour!

  • See the architecture of Shanghai’s best forgotten & untouched colonial-era buildings

  • Explore the opulent art-deco buildings along the Bund.

  • Stop for lunch on Nanjing East rd Pedestrian street

  • Bike around people’s square

  • Learn more about Shanghai’s colonial-era at the Urban Planning and Development Museum.

  • Head to the French concession and walk around the historic buildings in Xintiandi

  • Walk through Tianzifang’s well preserved Shikoumen houses and have dinner
