This tour not only includes the most classic tourist attractions of Beijing, but is also highlighted with a bunch of unique experiences like riding a rickshaw and seeing the cutest baby pandas. However, the most unconventional part of the tour will be visiting the 798 Art Zone, the world-famous cultural creative industries centralized area. With its galleries, design studios, art exhibition spaces, fashionable boutiques, restaurants, bars, it has become the new regional mark of the city.
Your private guide will pick your up in your hotel lobby usually at 9 AM or appointed time. The first stop of the tour will be Tiananmen Square. Throughout the history, Tiananmen Square has been the site of a number of important events. Later visit another worldly renown tourist attraction of Beijing— the Forbidden City, the biggest and best preserved imperial palace in the whole world, commonly known as GuGong. Listed as the UNESCO World Heritage, this place was home to 24 emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties (1420–1911).
Cross into Beihai Park. Originally a Summer Palace, it became the Winter Palace for the emperors of 3 successive dynasties. It is Over 1000 years old making it the oldest park in Beijing. Visit Bell and Drum Towers and then head to HouHai area of Beijing, where you can visit the old Hutong, one of the most important cultural elements of Beijing. Change your transportation into a delightful rickshaw to explore this area better.
We will drive for 30 minutes to Temple of Heaven, the largest Imperial place of worship from ancient times. This special place becomes a park where the local community utilizes this beautiful and enormous space for social activities like Taiji practice.
For the second day, after picking up at appointed time, your guide and driver will take you to Mutianyu Great Wall, a less crowded but very gorgeous part of the Great Wall. Usually it will take you about 1 and half hours there. After ascending the Wall, you'll have about 2 hours to admire the spectacular view. Cable car up and toboggan down is included.
On the way to Lama Temple, stop over at Olympic Center to photograph Bird's Nest and the Water Cube. Visit the Lama Temple, one of the best examples of sacred temples in the region. Its rich diversity of architectural styles includes Han, Mongolian, Manchurian and Tibetan.
We'll visit Changling. The thirteen Ming Tombs are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. Then visit the head and the largest tomb of Ming Tombs, where Emperor Yongle (the first emperor in Beijing) and his Empress Xu were buried.
In the afternoon, spend 2-3 hours touring Summer Palace, and take a boat ride to see the Qing style buildings on Suzhou Street where eunuchs and concubines were once disguised as merchants so that the emperor could enjoy shopping.
Next, to catch the 4:00 pm acrobatic show at Chaoyang theatre. The show would last one hour.
Visit the 798 art district, the exhibition center of Chinese culture and art.
Drive to Capital Museum to see its various kinds of cultural relics.
After lunch, go see the national treasure—panda in Beijing zoo. Or you can choose Hongqiao Pearl Market instead for some light shopping.
